Puppy & Beginning Obedience Class

Our beginning and puppy classes use positive, motivational methods to teach you how to build a solid relationship with your dog and to avoid common behavior problems (or how to eliminate problems that are already cropping up). You will begin teaching your dog a reliable recall, sit, down, stay, heel, and loose leash walking. Behavior information and questions and answers are included in each class. These 6 week classes will be starting soon. For a schedule call or text Pat Rohde at 650-740-0394.

Intermediate and Intermediate II Obedience Classes

The Intermediate classes move past the beginning level to increase and enhance the skills already learned. Students will practice more precision work and learn how to move from luring to reward-based training. These classes continue working on socialization, obedience, behavior and incorporate new exercises. These 6 week classes will start soon. For a schedule call or text Pat Rohde at 650-740-0394.

Advanced I & II Obedience Classes

These classes are for students who want to continue learning new skills for a family companion who is a pleasure to live with. Students interested in competition obedience will get a great start here. Exercises go beyond Novice level obedience to Open jumping, retrieving, drop on recall, etc.  Utility exercises such as the moving stand & signal exercise are even incorporated into the classes. These 6 week classes start soon. For a schedule call or text Pat Rohde at 650-740-0394.

Rally Class

The Rally class teaches the exercises involved in all levels of Rally competition.  From serpentines & spirals in Novice to pivots & offset figure 8 in Advanced through the Excellent moving stand and sit-stay, you will learn how to prepare your dog for competition.  A new Rally course is set up every week for practice. These 6 week classes start soon. For a schedule  call or text Pat Rohde at 650-740-0394.

Nosework

Looking for entirely different? Try Nosework - the sport that teaches your dog to find a target odor using his sense of smell. Training begins in a training "lab" where you teach your dog to find a high-value, hidden treat or toy paired with a target odor. Soon the dog is searching for the odor alone since they realize it means the treat is coming. Many of our students, who have just started training in this fun sport are already moving outside the "lab" to exterior and vehicle searches!
